Clinton revisits recent statements regarding FBI and email server
She went on: "It was therefore reasonable to conclude that anyone including myself would have not suspected that they were classified."
Clinton also told the group of minority journalists comprehensive immigration reform would be a "clear high priority" for her administration.
"I am determined that we are going to achieve comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship," she said.
Clinton has spent much of her campaign promoting a message of inclusion for black and Latino communities, and her campaign is focusing on several key states with minority populations ahead of the general election. Her support among minority voters nationwide exceeds that of Donald Trump, whose proposals for a Muslim entry ban and a wall at the southern border have alienated minority groups.
NAHJ President Mekahlo Medina welcomed Clinton's address, saying, "Her decision to support this event further shows her commitment to diversity," and NABJ President Sarah Glover said the group was pleased that Clinton sees the convention as "a vital gathering to discuss her platform and the issues impacting black and Latino communities."
