Commemorating the 71 anniversary of the Hiroshima atomic bombing

Thousands of people were gathered in Hiroshima this year to mark the 71 anniversary of the first atomic bomb in history as a result of which the same day killed more than 70,000 people, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).

Around 08:15 local time, when the nuclear bombs dropped on the Japanese city before 71 years, tens of thousands of participants with a minute of silence and the release of doves, paid tribute to victims.

Four months after the attack balance killed was over 200,000. Honors, as in previous years, took place in the Peace Park near the place where was the center of the attack. At the memorial ceremony for victims of the nuclear disaster it was attended by Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

On this day 70 years ago the American military plane dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima "Little Boy", while three days later allied forces also performs a second attack similar bomb "Fat Man" on Nagasaki. At the moment of the explosion in Hiroshima killed 70,000 people, while in the next four months of the consequences of nuclear attack close to 200,000 people were killed. It is impossible to verify the effects of the radiation balance in the coming years.
