France urges halt negotiations on free trade EU-US
The French government will ask the European Commission in September to terminate negotiations on TTIP in the project of the treaty of free trade between Europe and America, announced today the French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Matthias Fekl.
"There is no political support of France for the negotiations between the EU and the US and France to seek termination of negotiations," said Fekl.
He justified this claim with the fact that the ongoing negotiations, the European arm, the European Commission on behalf of 27 countries, suffers from a significant bias in favor of the US position.
