Overweight men were forgiven more easily than women
The average increase in body weight leads to social discrimination against women, but not to men.
The desirable values of body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5-25 kg / m2 (the optimal value is 22 kg / m2).
A study by Yale University has shown that women with a BMI of 27 kg / m2 and above are discriminated against at work or have problems in relations with the district.
While men the same thing happens when you have body mass index of 35 kg / m2 higher.
The study authors have found that discrimination on the basis of body weight is much more frequent than gender discrimination.
