The most mouth-watering fixtures of the 2016-17 English Premier League season

With the first day of the English Premier League season just around the corner, we take a look at the most exciting fixtures of the coming few months. 

Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager and two-time Champions League winner Pep Guardiola will take the reins at Manchester City, while former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will take charge in the Manchester United dugout. The two have a bitter history from their time managing clubs in Spain, which will add extra spice to the two Manchester derbies. 

Another Premier League managerial newbie will be former Italy coach Antonio Conte. The three-time Serie A champion with Juventus will look to get his new Chelsea side back towards the top of the table after their disastrous title defense last season. Fellow Italian Claudio Ranieri, having guided unfancied Leicester City to Premier League glory in 2016, will attempt to prove it was no fluke.

Elsewhere, Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will look to improve upon last season's failed title bid, while Arsenal will be eager to end their interminable wait for another league title. Ronald Koeman, having switched allegiance from Southampton to Everton, is likely to give a new edge to the Merseyside derby. Jurgen Klopp will now have a full pre-season to train his Liverpool squad as they bid for a top four finish.

Newly-promoted Burnley, Middlesbrough and Hull City will be eager to make an impact on the top flight. With so many enticing stories waiting to unfold when the Premier League kicks-off on August 13, we take a look at the pick of the fixtures.
