Tehran: Turkey to cease its military operations in Syria


Iran urges Turkey to stop military operations in northern Syria, to avoid a major complication of the situation in the region, according to Iranian media.
"The continuation of Turkey's military presence in Syria complicates even more the situation," ministry spokesman Iranian Foreign Affairs, Bahman Ghassemi, quoted today by state television.
He stressed that "in northern Syria clashes were the innocent cause of death and it is necessary that the Turkish army as soon cease its military actions."
Iran's first regional supporter of Syrian President Bashar Al Assad. Tehran supports politically, financially and militarily Syrian government, sending in ground military advisers and volunteers to fight in the wings of the Syrian army and armed rebel groups jihadists.
